How do I set up a User ID and a Password?

Once you have made your course selections from the Course Catalog page, select ‘Checkout’.  You will then be prompted to create a new user ID and password, and provide information for your personal profile.  If the desired user ID is taken, you will be asked to select something else for your account.  If you need assistance, please call 1-877-488-9308.

I forgot my User ID and password, how can I retrieve it?

If you have attempted to use a User ID and password that is not matching the information we have in our system, please follow the online retrieval instructions. If the retrieval process does not work, contact WebCE at 877-488-9308.

Is my personal information safe and secure?

Yes.   WebCE has taken many precautions to ensure that our systems are secure and that they meet industry standards, including the application of firewalls for our Internet-based systems.  Any time you see an “s” displayed at the end of http://, you are on a secure page.  For example, https://www.webce.com would be a secure site.

How many credits are awarded for each course?

The number of credit hours per course will vary by state. Credit hours will be listed next to each course title on your state’s Course Catalog page.

Can I repeat CFP CE courses for credit?

Yes.  Courses taken for CE for your CFP certification may be repeated as long as they are not taken more than once during the same biennial renewal period.  If requesting additional state insurance CE credit, course repetition rules will vary by state, and you should review the State Requirements page from the Course Catalog before completing your purchase.

WebCE offers four convenient ways to order:

  • Click on ‘Course Catalog’, choose your state and license type.
  • Select your courses by clicking on the title
  • Choose your delivery options and add the course to your shopping cart.
  • Select ‘Checkout’ and process your order.
  • If you wish to add more courses to your cart, select ‘Continue Shopping’, which will take you back to the ‘Course Catalog’ page.

What are my payment options?

You may pay with check or credit card. We accept all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Checks can be paid either by mail, or by calling our Customer Call Center at 800-488-9308.

How do I receive a receipt?

For online purchases, you may print a complete itemized invoice of your CE purchase from the website. To print an online receipt:

  • Sign in with your User ID and Password
  • Select the ‘My Account’ link on the menu bar, and then select the ‘My Orders’ link and choose the order number. 
  • Print the Proof of Purchase from your order summary.

A receipt will automatically accompany paper-based orders.

What course delivery options are available?

In most states, WebCE courses are available in both Online and Paper formats. In addition, Interactive Classroom Equivalent courses are available in Texas and New Jersey and are only available online.

How do I find the price for WebCE courses?

You will find pricing information on your state’s multi-course bundle under the “Choose a Course” box within the Course Catalog.  Individual course prices, before discounts and bundle package pricing, will be noted in green next to the course title.  To qualify for the bundled discount all courses must be ordered at one time and for one agent.

The listed course price includes:

  • Online course and exam
  • Instant grading
  • Certificates of completion
  • State roster reporting (where applicable)
  • Unlimited retakes

What are State Filing Fees?

State Filing Fees (sometimes called Roster Fees) are additional charges levied by states to process continuing education credits.  WebCE is required by these states to collect the filing fees from you and remit them to your state.  If applicable, you will see these fees added to your total invoice amount, under the “Additional Fees” section of the checkout screen.

Are there any fees not included in the course price?

The course price includes the course as well as all grading and certificate fees. The only additional charges that may apply are Filing Fees where applicable, and if you select paper courses and/or paper exams, shipping and book fees.

Do my courses expire?

You have 12 months from the date of purchase to complete your courses for credit. Courses will expire after that time. Your expiration date will be listed in your online account or within the documentation that accompanies your paper-based material.

Can I exchange a course I have ordered?

Yes, WebCE will exchange courses at no charge. Course exchange can be done by calling 800-488-9308. Additional fees for state filing, books or shipping may apply.

Will the course material be e-mailed to me?

No. Online course material will be accessed through the Internet by logging into your account each time. WebCE will e-mail you a reminder of your User ID and Password for online access.

Can I print my online course material?

In most states you can print the course material from your web browser or as a PDF file.  Exam material cannot be printed.

Do I have to review my online course all at once?

You are able to log in and out of your online course as many times as you need to study the course material or take an open-book exam (if your state allows open book exams). WebCE suggests that you complete monitored exams in one sitting; however, if you lose your Internet connection or if your monitor needs to leave in the middle of your exam, the system will automatically save your exam answers you have recorded, and you can come back to start where you left off.

How do I know if my exam needs to be monitored?

Monitoring requirements vary by state. If your state requires an exam monitor, information will be listed under the “Choose a Course” box in your state’s Course Catalog.  Monitor requirements can also be found in the ‘State Requirements’ page.

What information does WebCE require from an exam monitor?

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Unique identifying number, like social security or driver’s license
  • Some states also require a state approval number or insurance license number

If I must retake a test, am I required to use the same monitor?

No. You have the option to use a different monitor for each exam taken.

My state requires an exam monitor or proctor approval form, where do I get that?

In the states where a specific form is required for proctoring the form is available to print from a link located in the “Monitor Requirements” box of your state’s Course Catalog.

How does a monitor-free course work differently?

Exam delivery will vary based on your state’s specific requirements.  Most monitor-free states require the exams to be “closed-book”, which means you are not allowed to review or access the material while you are answering the exam questions.

What is a passing score?

Courses taken for insurance CE credit must be completed with a passing score of 70% or higher.

Are the exams timed?

No. the exams are not timed.

What happens if I do not pass my exam?

If you do not pass an online exam, the system will automatically give you the opportunity to retest online. If you do not pass a paper exam, WebCE will contact you and give you the option to retest online (if available) or by sending you another paper exam by regular mail. All retests will contain a different set of test questions from your original exam.  WebCE offers unlimited retakes, and there is no charge for additional test attempts.

How many questions are on the exam?

Exams contain 25-50 questions. The length of exams will vary by state and credit hours awarded.

Do I have to complete the exam in one sitting, or can I leave the exam and come back later?

Open book exams can be paused at any time. Closed book or monitored exams can not be paused, but the system will remember the answers to the questions you have completed if you were to close the browser or lose Internet connection. If you close a monitored exam the system will ask your exam monitor to re-enter his/her password again before you can complete the remaining test questions.

If my internet connection is lost, will WebCE save my answers?

Yes. The online system will remember the answers for any test pages completed prior to the loss of connection.

Can I print the test?

No. Online exams cannot be printed and must be answered online only.

How are online exams monitored?

When you open a monitored online exam for the first time, a box will appear on your screen and ask your exam monitor to enter his/her information required by your state. Once your monitor has successfully logged-in and identified herself/himself, you will then have access to the exam questions.

How long does it take to get certificates of completion?

In most states, certificates of completion immediately available online for printing. If you completed a paper-based exam, WebCE will mail your certificate within 2-3 business days.  If your state does not allow online printable certificates, WebCE will mail the certificates of completion to the permanent address on file regardless of how you completed the exam.

What do I do if I have lost my original certificates?

WebCE maintains your records for up to 5 years. We can create a duplicate certificate of completion. There is no charge for this service.

Does WebCE report results in my state?

WebCE reports course completions in most states every business day.  For those states that do not permit next-day reporting, your courses will be reported on a different schedule or at the time the report is requested by the state. .There are some states that do not require the providers to report CE course completions.

Once your courses have been reported, your online account will be updated with the report date.
